On the 22nd of October, at BioArt Laboratories in Eindhoven, we successfully held a special session called Design Reparations, represented by our co-founder Ian Francis. The presentation highlighted our commitment with our partners to integrating traditional knowledge with modern design, showcasing how local practices can merge with contemporary approaches to create innovative, climate-resilient solutions. This session marked a significant step toward decolonization, addressing the historical disconnect between younger generations and the profound connection to nature that guided the lives of our elders. Our design innovations aim to bridge this gap, reconnecting the current generation with nature by merging tradition and modernity. This successful event represented a hopeful step toward lasting change, renewing our connection to both environment and culture.
